iGLOW Health Academy and Clinic

iGLOW health program is aimed at providing preventative health information to teens, promoting physical fitness and introducing policies at the county level that address young peoples health concerns. Under this portfolio, IGLOW focusses on;

  • School feeding program
  • Reproductive health
  • HIV Support and prevention
  • Provision of inner pants and sanitary towels
  • Environment and school greening program

Scholarships

iGLOW scholarship program targets most vulnerable girls. IGLOW support goes beyond finacial support and includes mentoring, home visits, couselling, medical, textbook and sanitary towel provisions among others

Ambassadors and Volunteers Program

iGLOWs Ambassadors’ program is a youth leadership program that aims to build national and global leadership capacities of recent female university graduates so that they are best able to tackle development and leadership challenges of the 21st century.

Most Ambassandors also serve as the main facilitators for iGLOW trainings. They also tour local areas, thereby enabling them to connect with communities , people and get a deep insight into development and governance in Kenya.

In this way the program promises to increase the number of young Kenyans in top leadership position with a national outlook and a deep grasp of challenges affecting different regions in Kenya and the world at large.

Teaching Excellence Program

Ms President Program

Politics plays a key role in impacting community development, and consequently girls’ lives. “Ms President Program” targets girls from age 7-18 years. iGLOW strives to promote effective, inclusive, and accountable governance through empowering rural girls to be at the forefront of political processes by preparing them from an early age to

(i) Take on the mantle of community leadership,
(ii) Understand and participate in democratic processes, and
(iii) Aspire for political leadership positions.

Apart from facilitating girls and youth driven leadership sessions, iGLOW convenes the following key events to complement its trainings

Motivational Talk for Learners/Students

To boost the morale learners of St. Anne’s Ahero Primary school, iGLOW organized for a motivational Talk for learners towards better performance and inculcation of good character among learners in school. The activity focused on class eight (8) who are 200 between age between 13-15 years.

(i) Capacity building and motivation for learners and teachers
(ii) Assess learners’ attitude towards various subject and learning
(iii) Boost and build learners’ attitude towards learning and success
(iv) Assess leaners teachers’ relationship
(v) Conduct group psychoeducation on stress management
