Meet the Team
Ms. Atieno Oduor is the Founder and President of IGLOW. She is responsible for organization-wide management and strategic planning, overseeing all operations and technical program design. Ms Oduor is a governance, gender and development expert with experience implementing and managing multi-million USAID, Global Fund and DFID development projects. Born and raised in Kenya, she has worked in South Sudan, Ghana, Ethiopia, Kenya and Turkey, primarily developing capacity building tools on resilience programming, gender budgeting, leadership, conflict mitigation and grants management. She holds a Master’s Degree in African Studies and International Relations from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, as well as a Bachelor’s degree with Distinction in Political Science from University of Delaware.

She is a lawyer who started working with IGLOW while still in High school. She is equipped with seven years of experience in community development, specifically in the health and education sectors. She was a 2019 Mandela Washington Fellow and previously worked at the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) under the Research, Advocacy and Outreach Directorate.

Mercury is passionate about creating social change in young girls and to make a positive impact on the future of each of their lives. Mercury has over 10 years of experience in project management with demonstrable experience providing full accountability for planning, structuring, leading and executing projects and programs of high impact.
